Qualifications to be considered for the MRMS designation

1. Must have 1 year proven experience in the Mortgage Industry.
2. Must serve on a MAMB committee for 12 out of the next 24 months.
3. Must take and Pass the Residential Mortgage Lending School Exam.
4. Must have at least 4 hours of additional CEU's or Industry Credit Hours.
5. You will have 18 months to apply for your MRMS designation from the date that you successfully pass your Residential Mortgage Lending School Exam.

Annual Renewal

1. Annual Renewal will follow the State of Mississippi DBCF renewal dates.
2. Designees must complete the 12 hours of required CEUs.
3. Designee’s must attain an additional 8 CEUs or 8 Industry Credit hours as approved by the MAMB Board of Directors.  The MAMB Board of Directors will establish the credit hours to be awarded per event.
4. Proof of Attendance must be submitted annually to the Executive Director, no later than December 31 to maintain your designation for the following year. If you miss the December 31 deadline, then the designee is requested to submit a letter of explanation to the Certification Committee along with the renewal materials. The Certification Committee will review the renewal materials and a recommendation will be made to the Board of Directors.
5. Continuing Education Units will be given hour-for-hour credit for all CEU hours taken above the state required 12 hours.  If you choose to use these credit hours, designees must submit all CEU Credit Hours taken in that renewal period.  (i.e. if you intend to use 8 additional CEUs, you must submit 20 hours of education that was taken during the previousl license year.)

MAMB Sanction Events

• Annual Meeting – 4 hrs
• Board Meeting – 4 hrs
• Committee Meeting (including conference calls) – 2 hrs
• Greater Gulf States Mortgage Conference
  • Registered Attendee – 8 hrs
  • Registered Tradeshow Attendee – 4 hrs
• Other Special Event designated by the MAMB Board of Directors will be eligible for the Board approved Industry Credit Hours.

NAMB Sanction Events

• NAMB Sponsored Conference – Registered Attendee - 8 hrs
• NAMB Delegate Council Meeting – 4hrs
