Mortgage professionals face several serious issues on the National and State levels of government. National issues include RESPA and TILA reform, HUD lending levels and the onslaught of Class Action law suits against lenders and brokers.Mississippi issues include concern over the lack of uniform mortgage lending practices in Mississippi by legislators. Bills that severely limit compensation to brokers have been passed and the process of introducing legislation to facilitate the licensing of mortgage lenders and brokers has begun.
MAMB, as the voice for mortgage professionals in Mississippi, has pledged to represent it's members in the legislative process and to develop an aggressive educational agenda focused upon the further development of an ethical, professional, mortgage lending environment in Mississippi.
In addition to legislative and educational activities, MAMB members enjoy the networking with others across Mississippi and the nation involved in the lending industry.
