The Mortgage Broker industry is regulated by the Mississippi Department of Banking and Consumer Finance.
The Mississippi Association of Mortgage Brokers is determined to see legislation that protects the consumer and the broker industry from predatory and dishonest business practices. We are actively involved in ensuring that the legislation passed by the state is harmony with the goal of protecting the consumer, and the industry.
MAMB is also actively involved at the federal level with new legislation and regulations that affect the industry. Recently, MAMB joined the National Federation of Mortgage Professionals, a federal lobbying group, to assist us in Washington.
